About the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Corporation (FMHRC)
The Florida Mobile Home Relocation Corporation (FMHRC) is a public corporation established in 2001 by the Florida Legislature to support homeowners in manufactured home communities facing displacement due to land use changes. As part of this legislative action, the Florida Mobile Home Relocation Trust Fund was also created to serve as the financial source for eligible relocation and abandonment assistance.
The FMHRC operates under the authority of Sections 723.0611, 723.06115, 723.06116, and 723.0612 of the Florida Statutes. These statutes guide our role in providing financial assistance to qualified mobile home owners who are forced to move their homes—or abandon them—when their communities are closed for redevelopment or other land use changes.
To receive assistance, homeowners must complete a formal application, including all required documentation, which is reviewed by FMHRC staff before being submitted to the Board of Directors for consideration.
